Un hombre embistió este martes contra ciclistas en “una acto de terrorismo” que dejó ocho muertos y una decena de heridos en Manhattan, dijo el alcalde de Nueva York, Bill de Blasio.
“En base a la información que disponemos en este momento, se trató de un acto de terrorismo (…) particularmente cobarde”, dijo el alcalde demócrata durante una conferencia de prensa, en la que también indicó que “es un día muy doloroso para nuestra ciudad”.
Por su parte, el gobernador demócrata de Nueva York, Andrew Cuomo, subrayó que la ciudad “es un símbolo internacional de libertad y democracia“.

Several people were killed and numerous others injured in New York on Tuesday when a suspect plowed a vehicle into a bike and pedestrian path in Lower Manhattan, and struck another vehicle on Halloween, police said. A suspect exited the vehicle holding up fake guns, before being shot by police and taken into custody, officers said. The motive was not immediately apparent.
